Donne in Blues: Pink Blues at Home in Bertinoro

Every summer, the hamlet of Fratta Terme, in the Municipality of Bertinoro (Province of Forlì-Cesena, Emilia-Romagna), becomes the stage for Donne in Blues, a review entirely dedicated to female voices and talents in jazz, blues, and singer-songwriter music. The concerts are held in the charming Piazza Colitto, in the spa town at the foot of the so-called "balcony of Romagna," during free evenings that attract music lovers from all over the Forlì area.

An All-Female Review

The common thread is clear from the title: the protagonists are exclusively women, both established and emerging artists, who take turns on stage presenting the many nuances of black music and the new singer-songwriter scene. Over the years, the review has hosted singers, instrumentalists, and songwriters capable of ranging from classic blues to soul, from jazz to electronic and pop contaminations, offering the public a journey that celebrates female creativity and sensitivity.

The Village of Fratta Terme

The setting is an integral part of the review's charm: the renovated Piazza Colitto, in the center of Fratta Terme, offers an intimate and welcoming backdrop, where music dialogues with the tranquil atmosphere of the spa town. Bertinoro, the city of hospitality par excellence in Romagna, provides the backdrop with its tradition of welcome, which can also be felt during the concert evenings.

Donne in Blues is part of the rich program of Bertinoro Estate, promoted by the Municipality of Bertinoro, and is produced by the Fondazione Entroterre, an organization responsible for several quality musical events in the area. In recent editions, the review has renewed its format, dedicating ample space to emerging Italian music thanks to the collaboration with the traveling festival Totem Music Tour, with evenings that each feature multiple different artistic proposals.
