The Witches' Market is one of the most original events on the Roman calendar, an esoteric and magical-themed market that enlivens the spaces of the Città dell'Altra Economia—located within the former Testaccio slaughterhouse on Largo Dino Frisullo—several times throughout the year. Organized by the Anima Verde association, the event draws a curious and passionate crowd for two or three days dedicated to the charm of the occult, magical craftsmanship, and ancient popular traditions.

What you will find at the market

The heart of the event is the exhibition area, where numerous artisans and merchants present unique creations and themed products. Among the stalls, you can find:

• Crystals, minerals, orgonites, and pentaspheres;
• Natural incense, herbal remedies, and artisanal cosmetics;
• Amulets, talismans, and symbolic jewelry, often made of olive wood;
• Handmade wands, magic boards, and divination cards;
• Tarot decks, books on esotericism, and manuals dedicated to magic;
• Fantasy and folkloric-themed clothing and accessories.

Many products are handmade and sustainable, with a portion of the offerings being cruelty-free, in line with the spirit of the Città dell'Altra Economia.

Consultations, workshops, and activities

Beyond shopping, the Witches' Market offers a rich program of activities. A dedicated space is reserved for divination consultations with industry professionals: various types of tarot, traditional and evolutionary astrology, palmistry, runic and shamanic profiling, and angel card readings. Consultations often require advance booking due to high demand.

There are also plenty of moments dedicated to families and children, with fantasy painting workshops, themed face painting, and a "bewitched" play area. To complete the experience, there is a street food & drink area with themed culinary offerings. Special editions, such as the Halloween event between late October and early November or the summer Night Edition linked to the Summer Solstice, enrich the program with evening hours and symbolic rituals.
