Tastings, live music, and street food in the heart of Cavezzo
In the heart of the Bassa modenese, the Municipality of Cavezzo (Province of Modena, Emilia-Romagna) hosts Wines in Bloom, the event that transforms Piazza Giacomo Matteotti into a large open-air winery. Launched in 2026 as its absolute debut, it is a spring event that celebrates the meeting of the best grape varieties, quality gastronomy, and great entertainment, with the stated goal of bringing life and community back to the town center.
The heart of the event are four partner wineries from the area — Cantina AZ, Venti Venti, Tommaso Tobia Zucchi, and Divinja — ready to tell their story through their wines. The formula is simple and convivial: purchase your personal wine glass with a practical coordinated glass holder bag and embark on a tasting tour among the producers' stands, discovering local labels and enological expressions.
Alongside the wine, there's delicious food, with street food offerings entrusted to local businesses: pizza al taglio from Languorino, the menu from Gnock & Roll, and authentic traditional flavors curated by the Pro Loco Cavezzese. Throughout the event, the square also hosts a vintage and handmade market, showcasing creative craftsmanship and objects with a retro charm.
The evenings are enlivened by live music: on Friday, a DJ set entirely dedicated to the 2000s, and on Saturday, the grand finale with Gli Stranianimali, a tribute band to Vasco Rossi. While adults indulge in tastings, the little ones can have fun in a dedicated inflatable play area, making Wines in Bloom an event designed for the whole family.
Organized by Reload Events in collaboration with the Pro Loco Cavezzese and with the support of the Municipality of Cavezzo, the event represents—in the words of the municipal administration—a concrete opportunity to enhance the town center and create opportunities for community gathering.
The debut of Wines in Bloom animated Piazza Giacomo Matteotti in Cavezzo on the weekend of April 17-18, 2026, transforming the town center into an open-air winery. Completing the offerings were street food options with pizza al taglio from Languorino, the menu from Gnock & Roll, and traditional dishes from the Pro Loco Cavezzese, as well as a vintage and handmade market and an inflatable play area for the little ones.
