About Wine Tour Fest
Lizzano wine takes center stage in the historic district
The Wine Tour Fest is the festival that every summer transforms the historic center of Lizzano, in the province of Taranto, into the capital of Salento wine. Established in 2023, the event is promoted by the Municipality of Lizzano together with the Pro Loco and with the support of the Puglia Region, with the aim of showcasing one of the most important pillars of the local economy: Lizzano DOC wine.
Strolling through the squares and alleys of the village, visitors encounter stands from local wineries, with over one hundred labels ready for tasting. The great Apulian reds are the stars of the show: Primitivo, Negroamaro, and native grapes that tell the story of an ancient winemaking tradition from the Salento vineyards, accompanied by the whites and rosés that complete the Lizzano appellation.
More than just wine: music, art, and flavors
Wine Tour Fest is not just a tasting event. The formula combines a glass of wine with various art forms: live music in the squares, exhibitions, painting, and entertainment that bring the evenings to life until late at night. Alongside the winery stands, there is space for typical products and Apulian cuisine, from traditional peasant dishes to local gastronomic specialties.
The atmosphere is that of a grand summer village festival: families, tourists, and food and wine enthusiasts mingle among the stands, while the locals act as gracious hosts. It is a direct way to discover Lizzano, its producers, and its wine culture, in an experience that weaves together taste, social life, and the revitalization of the historic center.
A territory to be discovered
Lizzano is located in the southern part of the Province of Taranto, just a few kilometers from the Ionian coast, in a corner of Puglia where the vine has been the protagonist of the landscape for centuries. Lizzano DOC, recognized for its full-bodied reds based on Negroamaro and Primitivo, gives its name to a production area that the festival helps to introduce to an ever-wider audience. Wine Tour Fest is thus also an opportunity for tourism promotion of the village and its excellences.

Wine Tour Fest 2026 — edition in preparation
The Municipality of Lizzano has begun organizing the fourth edition of the Wine Tour Fest, publishing a public notice of interest for exhibitors and wineries wishing to participate in the 2026 edition.
As of today, the official dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced, nor have the detailed program and the list of artists. In previous editions, the event took place in mid-August (August 11, 12, and 13 in 2024 and 2025), in the historic center of Lizzano, with over one hundred labels for tasting, live music, and food and wine stands.
The complete program will be published by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event. This page will be updated as soon as the dates and the calendar of evenings are finalized.

How to get there
Lizzano can be reached by car via the SS7 ter and the provincial roads connecting Taranto to the Ionian coast of Salento. The nearest train station is served by the Ferrovie del Sud Est lines. During the event, the historic center is largely pedestrianized: it is advisable to leave your car in the parking lots along the access roads to the town.

The event is held in summer, traditionally in mid-August. The evenings come alive from late afternoon until late at night.
