Independent winemakers, vinyl music, and local cuisine at Cadeo Castle
Every spring, the courtyard of Cadeo Castle, in the heart of the Piacenza plain, transforms into a large open-air lounge dedicated to wine. Vino in Corte is a market exhibition that brings together independent winemakers and small-scale wineries from the territories of the Duchy, Oltrepรฒ Pavese, and Colli Piacentini, with a selection that over the years has also opened up to some foreign realities. The idea is simple and direct: drink well, talk to the producers, and take home a bottle you discovered on site.
The formula that has made this event a highly anticipated appointment in Cadeo, in the province of Piacenza, is free tasting: with a single glass, you can wander among the winery stalls, taste the wines, and chat with the producers. The soundtrack is provided by vinyl music and DJ sets under the castle's arcades, the hallmark of the organizing association. Shared tables, lawns to lie on with a glass in hand, and convivial cuisine complete the relaxed and popular atmosphere of the event.
The heart of the event is the wineries: over twenty-five producers and more than one hundred labels, with a particular focus on natural wines and sustainable agricultural practices. Alongside the wine fair, there are gastronomic offerings from local businesses and, in editions with the farmers' market, stalls from small agricultural producers. It's an opportunity to discover the enological identity of this corner of Emilia-Romagna, where the culture of wine coexists with that of food.
Vino in Corte is organized by VINILICA APS, the cultural association that has revived the historic club in Cadeo, now active year-round with a music program. The event takes place under the patronage of the Municipality of Cadeo and with the support of local partners.
For the fifth year, the courtyard of Cadeo Castle hosted Vino in Corte, the market exhibition of independent winemakers. Over twenty-five wineries and more than one hundred labels could be tasted and purchased directly from the producers, with unlimited tasting at a cost of โฌ20, including a glass and lanyard.
Accompanying the days were vinyl music and DJ sets under the castle's arcades, the hallmark of VINILICA APS, with shared tables and lawns to relax on with a glass in hand. On the gastronomic front, the Poggio's cuisine collaborated with Alla Mano for the first time, offering a popular, convivial, and regional selection.
