The White Night of the City of Flowers, featuring music, lights, and local flavors
Every year at the end of summer, the historic center of Terlizzi, in the province of Bari, lights up for the White Night, the event that keeps the "City of Flowers" awake until the early hours. The squares, main streets, and alleys of this Apulian town turn into one large, sprawling stage where music, lights, shows, and flavors intertwine in an evening designed to be highly inclusive and open to audiences of all ages.
Along the main streets, you will find a mix of live music to sing along to, DJ sets, comedy shows, dance performances, and street artists who engage passersby with surprise acts. The lights and evocative floral installations pay homage to Terlizzi's heritage as a historic hub of Apulian floriculture, while play areas dedicated to children make the event a true celebration for families.
The White Night also serves as a showcase for local production. Food and wine stalls offer traditional flavors, from extra virgin olive oil to local specialties, while highlighting the ancient tradition of Terlizzi ceramics and flower cultivation. Shops remain open throughout the evening, offering an experience that combines strolling, shopping, and entertainment in the heart of Puglia.
Created to promote pedestrian activity and the vitality of the urban center, the White Night is now one of the most anticipated events of the Terlizzi summer. It is part of the rich Summer in Terlizzi calendar, which brings over forty cultural, musical, theatrical, and entertainment initiatives to the town between June and September. The event is free to enter and confirms the welcoming spirit of Terlizzi, a town in the Metropolitan City of Bari, in Puglia.
The White Night of Terlizzi returns on Saturday, September 5, 2026, for its fourth edition, confirmed as part of the official Summer in Terlizzi 2026 program. As per tradition, the historic center will be animated by live music, street performers, food and wine trails, and crafts along the main streets, promoted by the Dioniso Cultural Association.
While the date is confirmed, the detailed program with the line-up, schedule, and locations has not yet been published: it will be released by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event. The event remains free to enter and open to all ages.
Terlizzi is located in the hinterland of the Metropolitan City of Bari. By car, it can be reached via the SS16 and SP231 (formerly SS98) roads. By train, the Terlizzi station is served by the Ferrovie del Nord Barese (Ferrotramviaria) on the Bari-Barletta line.
Admission to the White Night is free. The event takes place in the historic center, with entertainment continuing until late at night.
Numerous themed areas are active during the evening: it is recommended to park in areas outside the historic center, which is often pedestrianized for the occasion.
