The Mediterranean's premier trade fair in Bari
The Fiera del Levante is much more than a commercial exhibition; it is a symbol of the city of Bari and the entire Puglia region. Founded in 1929, the Fiera del Levante Autonomous Body organized the first edition of the great exhibition in 1930, with the goal of making Bari a commercial bridge between Italy, the Balkans, the Middle East, and North Africa. Since then, the International Trade Fair has established itself as the leading generalist exhibition in Southern Italy, an unmissable appointment every September.
The event takes place in the spacious exhibition district that stretches for approximately 300,000 square meters along the Lungomare Starita, in the Marconi-San Girolamo-Fesca district, just minutes from Bari's city center, port, train station, and airport. Its monumental pavilions, many of which hold great architectural value, host dozens of international events throughout the year, including exhibitions, congresses, and gatherings.
The International General Trade Fair is a multi-sector event that brings together hundreds of exhibitors: home and furniture, construction, automotive, agri-food and typical Puglian products, craftsmanship, fashion, technology, and innovation. There is also an area dedicated to startups and digital technology, alongside conferences and round tables on economic themes such as exports, energy, labor, and internationalization. The Fair has always been a privileged showcase for Mediterranean businesses.
Alongside its commercial dimension, the Trade Fair offers a rich calendar of events open to the public: evening concerts, theatrical and comedy shows, entertainment, areas for children and families, and food and wine tastings. During the nine days of the event, the exhibition grounds transform into a large festival space that engages Bari residents and visitors from all over Puglia and Southern Italy.
Visiting the Fiera del Levante means immersing yourself in the soul of Bari and getting to know the region's productive excellence up close. For the Puglian capital, the Trade Fair represents an annual moment of identity pride and a significant economic engine for the entire territory.
The 2026 edition of the International Trade Fair, the 89th in its long history, is officially scheduled from September 19 to 27, 2026, at the Nuova Fiera del Levante exhibition district in Bari. As per tradition, the event will bring together hundreds of exhibitors across various product sectors — home and furniture, construction, automotive, agri-food, technology, and craftsmanship — alongside areas dedicated to innovation and startups, economic conferences, and a rich program of evening shows open to the public.
The dates are confirmed by the organizers; the detailed program of events, concerts, and guests will be officially published closer to the event.
The exhibition grounds are located at Lungomare Starita 4 in Bari, in the Marconi-San Girolamo-Fesca district. By car, it can be reached from the bypass (SS16), taking the Fiera del Levante exit. It is just minutes from the Bari central station, the port, and the Bari-Palese airport, all connected by city buses and dedicated shuttles during the event.
The Trade Fair requires an entrance ticket, which can be purchased online (at a reduced price) or at the ticket offices. Standard opening hours run from morning until evening, with the events and shows area remaining active late into the night. Online booking is recommended to avoid queues.
Bari offers numerous accommodation options; it is advisable to book your stay in advance during the days of the Fair. The historic center of Bari Vecchia and the seafront are easily accessible to complete your visit.
