The dance festival on the Viverone lakeside
ViverOnStage - Lake Dance Festival is the dance event that, since 2025, has enlivened the lakeside of Viverone, a small town in the Province of Biella overlooking the lake of the same name, the third largest in Piedmont. The festival transforms the Parco Ignazio Tarello, located on the waterfront, into an open-air stage where dance engages with the natural landscape between the Canavese and Biella regions.
The first edition, held in September 2025, brought together local dance schools and young international artists. Over several consecutive evenings, choreography, performances, and rehearsals took place on the stage overlooking the lake, featuring special guests and free admission. The format was designed to promote both local talent and the international dimension of contemporary dance.
The strength of ViverOnStage lies in its scenery: Parco Ignazio Tarello stretches along the shore of Lake Viverone, in one of the most characteristic corners of the lower Biella area. Watching the performances at sunset, with the mirror-like water in the background, offers an atmosphere that blends art, nature, and social life into a single experience.
The festival is part of the cultural projects supported in the area: for the 2026 edition, the Municipality of Viverone secured a grant dedicated to ViverOnStage through the calls for proposals promoted by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella (Culturhub program), confirming the commitment to establishing the festival for years to come.
With its free and accessible formula, ViverOnStage establishes itself as a key summer appointment for dance in the Biella region, capable of combining entertainment, education, and the promotion of the Viverone area.
After its 2025 debut, ViverOnStage - Lake Dance Festival returns in 2026 to Parco Ignazio Tarello in Viverone. The edition is supported by a grant obtained by the Municipality of Viverone through the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella calls (Culturhub program). The official calendar with dates, times, and guests will be announced by the organizers: we recommend following the channels of the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Viverone for the updated program.
