Three weekends of wellness, creativity, and sustainability in Caffarella Park
In the vast green lung of Caffarella Park, nestled between the Appio Latino and Ardeatino districts and part of the Appia Antica Regional Park, comes "Viva! Art and Nature in Caffarella," a widespread festival combining craftsmanship, conscious eating, workshops, and outdoor living. The event takes place around the Casa del Parco, accessible from the Largo Pietro Tacchi Venturi entrance, and for three weekends transforms one of Rome's most evocative corners into a meeting space dedicated to wellness and sustainability.
The event is spread over three consecutive weekends: the first on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, the second during the May 1st long weekend, and the final one on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, 2026. Each day is open to the public from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with activities designed for both adults and children in a natural setting that invites you to slow down and rediscover the pleasure of being outdoors.
The heart of the event is the artisanal market, featuring a selection of independent exhibitors showcasing handmade items, artistic creations, and natural, sustainable products. It is the perfect opportunity to discover authentic small businesses, support a more ethical and conscious economy, and take home a unique piece, far from the logic of mass production.
Ample space is dedicated to experiential activities, with workshops and moments of sharing for adults and children. For the little ones, there is a children's area with creative workshops led by Cristiane, designed to stimulate imagination, manual skills, and a connection with nature in a playful way. There is also a fully plant-based food area, curated by La Drogheria Veg, with tasty and accessible options for everyone, and a bike repair station for those who love to move sustainably and explore the park by bicycle.
Organized by the Green Market Festival, the event is part of the spring calendar of the Municipality of Rome and confirms the Capital's commitment in the Lazio region to events that combine culture, environment, and sustainable lifestyles. The setting of Caffarella Park, with its meadows, streams, and archaeological treasures of the Appia Antica, adds a landscape and historical value that makes the visit a 360-degree experience of nature, art, and culture.
For three consecutive weekends, Caffarella Park was transformed into a space dedicated to wellness, creativity, and sustainability. The public was able to visit the market of independent exhibitors, participate in experiential workshops, entertain children in the kids' area, and enjoy the offerings of the fully plant-based food area, all immersed in nature.
