Visionaria Urban Fest

A festival of ideas in the heart of Garbatella

Visionaria Urban Fest is the event that transforms the courtyard of La Villetta Social Lab on Via degli Armatori into a hub of debate, music, and performance every early September. We are in the Garbatella district, one of the most distinctive neighborhoods in Rome, the capital city of the Lazio Region. La Villetta is a historic People's House, serving as a base for left-wing parties and associations since 1944, and today acts as a center for mutual aid and neighborhood culture.

Politics, culture, and live music

Founded in 2018, Visionaria is promoted by the civic and ecological left network alongside the association that runs La Villetta. Each edition revolves around a theme that defines the week, mixing various formats: meetings with journalists, writers, administrators, and activists, as well as book presentations, screenings, concerts, theater, and comedy. The festival opens its doors every evening from 6:00 PM until late at night.

Admission to the events is free, and the conviviality of the self-managed tavern supports La Villetta's activities throughout the year. For those visiting Rome at the end of summer, it is a chance to discover an authentic Garbatella, far from the tourist circuits and close to the pulse of the neighborhood.
