About Cabbage Festival
A unique product from the Dolomites
The Vinigo Cabbage Festival celebrates an excellence grown only in the hamlet of Vinigo, in Vodo di Cadore, province of Belluno, in the heart of the Dolomites World Heritage site. The Vinigo cabbage, a local variety resulting from careful selection by growers and recognized since 2013 as a Traditional Agri-food Product (PAT) of the Veneto Region, is the absolute protagonist of the festival.
The market exhibition and tours
The heart of the event is the market exhibition of the cabbage, with sales and tasting of the fresh product and dishes that enhance it, alongside food and wine stands and typical products from Cadore. Guided tours tell the story and cultivation of this variety, in a journey that combines taste and local culture.
Village festival and street artists
Around the cabbage, the hamlet of Vinigo comes alive with street artists, entertainment for adults and children, and the participation of the Pro Loco associations of the Cadore consortium. Organized by the Pro Loco Vodo, the festival is the most anticipated event of the year for this mountain community, capable of transforming a humble vegetable into a symbol of identity.
Cabbage Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Vinigo Cabbage Festival will again celebrate in October the product that symbolizes the hamlet, with the market exhibition, sale and tasting of the cabbage, guided tours, Cadore food and wine stands, and entertainment with street artists for adults and children. The exact dates and detailed program will be published by Pro Loco Vodo in the weeks preceding the event.
