The natural wine fair at the Abbey of San Remigio in Parodi Ligure
Vini di Terra – Small Natural Wine Fair is a food and wine event held in Parodi Ligure, a small town in the province of Alessandria, in the heart of southeastern Piedmont. The event is set in the evocative Abbey of San Remigio, an ancient monastery that hosts a day entirely dedicated to the world of natural wine, traditional agriculture, and land preservation.
The heart of the fair is its independent winemakers, the protagonists of a showcase that gives a voice to those who work the land with respect and passion. Exhibitors arrive from numerous Italian regions—from Piedmont to Sicily, passing through Tuscany, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Liguria, Lazio, Lombardy, Umbria, Marche, Emilia-Romagna, and Campania—bringing a wide selection of labels for tasting. Each producer shares the story of their vineyards directly with the public, creating the personal dialogue that defines the experience.
Admission to the fair is free: to taste the wines, visitors purchase a dedicated glass, which grants access to tastings at the producers' stands. The program is enriched by cultural talks and in-depth sessions, with the magazine Versanti engaging with winemakers on the meaning of natural wine and the bond between agriculture and landscape.
An artisanal market featuring local farmers and craftspeople is set up in front of the abbey, while food stalls offer local specialties designed to pair with the wines. There is also a dedicated space for children, with workshops and activities that make Vini di Terra a perfect outing for the whole family.
Organized by the La Rapa Bendata association with the patronage of the Municipality of Parodi Ligure, Vini di Terra is a small fair with a clear identity: a few carefully selected exhibitors, an intimate atmosphere, and a focus on sustainability. Its location among the Monferrato hills in Piedmont, close to the Ligurian border, makes the Abbey of San Remigio an ideal destination for those looking to combine natural wine discovery with a trip into the Alessandria countryside.
The Abbey of San Remigio is located in Parodi Ligure (AL), in Piedmont. By car, it is easily accessible from the A26 motorway (Ovada exit) or the A7; the reference railway station is Novi Ligure. Arriving by car is recommended due to the location among the hills.
Free admission. For tastings, a dedicated glass can be purchased (12 euros). Bottles are available for direct purchase at the producers' stands.
