The Autumn of Historic Residences
Ville Aperte in Brianza, promoted by the Province of Monza and Brianza and now in its 24th edition, offers a second autumn event each year. The 2026 edition, themed "Stories that remain", includes a total of 48 cultural sites in 35 municipalities across the provinces of Monza and Brianza, Metropolitan City of Milan, Lecco, and Como.
Vimercate in Autumn
In late summer, the programme for Vimercate (Province of Monza and Brianza) expands compared to spring, opening sites of strong historical and religious value: the Church of Santo Stefano, the Oratory of Sant'Antonio, the Bridge of San Rocco, Villa Gallarati Scotti, and Villa Borromeo d'Oreno, the latter hosting the famous escape room "La stanza degli affreschi Borromeo" set up in the Hunting Lodge.
A Journey into the Territory's Memory
Guided tours take visitors on a discovery of frescoes, architecture, and itineraries often inaccessible at other times of the year, revealing the "stories that remain" in the historical landscape of Vimercate and the hamlet of Oreno.
