The patronal and village festival of Burago di Molgora
BuragoFesta is the patronal and village festival of Burago di Molgora, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza, celebrated in honour of the patrons Saints Vito and Modesto. The occasion falls on the second Sunday of September and is the time of year when the entire community comes together to celebrate.
The event takes place over three days, from Friday to Sunday, with events spread across the squares and streets of the village. Alongside the religious celebrations in honour of the patron saints, the programme offers moments of festivity, food stalls, and entertainment, with temporary traffic changes announced by the Municipality to allow the events to take place.
Organised by the Municipality together with the parish, BuragoFesta intertwines the spiritual and popular dimensions, in line with the tradition of Brianza's patronal festivals. It is an opportunity to rediscover the identity of the village and to experience together, across different generations, a weekend of celebration in the heart of Brianza.
Burago di Molgora is one of the smallest municipalities in the province of Monza and Brianza, crossed by the Molgora stream which characterises its landscape. In a reality of this size, the patronal festival takes on particular importance: it is the moment when the entire community comes together and tells its story. Devotion to Saints Vito and Modesto, the village's patrons, has always been linked to the activities of the oratory and the parish, while BuragoFesta extends the celebration to the squares and streets with events open to all. The temporary traffic changes, announced by the Municipality, are the tangible sign of a village that transforms for a few days to make space for the festival.
The detailed programme for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Municipality closer to the event. The usual structure includes:
The celebrations in honour of Saints Vito and Modesto and the three days of widespread festivities in the village.
Second Sunday of September, over three days (Friday-Sunday).
Squares and streets of Burago di Molgora (MB).
Religious celebrations, food stalls, entertainment; traffic changes during the festival.
Municipality of Burago di Molgora and parish.
