About Notte Medievale

La Notte Medievale di Vimercate is the historical reenactment that at the end of September takes the historic center of the municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza back centuries. From late afternoon, the streets and squares come alive with flag-wavers, fire-eaters, stilt walkers, falconers, duels, and ancient music, with an initial parade, itinerant shows, themed stalls, food stands, and a grand final fire show.

A dive into the Middle Ages

La Notte Medievale di Vimercate is one of the most evocative events of autumn in the municipality of the province of Monza and Brianza. For one evening, the historic center transforms into a medieval village: streets and squares fill with costumed artists, ancient music, themed markets, and atmospheres of yesteryear, in a free event suitable for all ages.

Itinerant shows and fire

The evening opens with a parade that crosses the streets of the center, presenting all the artists, followed by itinerant shows lasting about half an hour each: flag-wavers, fire-eaters, stilt walkers, falconers, duels, and jugglers. There are also historical reenactments, artisans at work, themed stalls, and food stands. The grand fire show closes the night.

A festival for everyone

Also designed for children, with dedicated workshops and entertainment, the Notte Medievale has become a fixed event in Vimercate's calendar over the years, capable of enhancing the charm of the city's historic center.
