An evening in the Middle Ages in the historic center
La Notte Medievale di Vimercate is one of the most evocative events of autumn in the municipality of the province of Monza and Brianza. For one evening, the historic center transforms into a medieval village: streets and squares fill with costumed artists, ancient music, themed markets, and atmospheres of yesteryear, in a free event suitable for all ages.
The evening opens with a parade that crosses the streets of the center, presenting all the artists, followed by itinerant shows lasting about half an hour each: flag-wavers, fire-eaters, stilt walkers, falconers, duels, and jugglers. There are also historical reenactments, artisans at work, themed stalls, and food stands. The grand fire show closes the night.
Also designed for children, with dedicated workshops and entertainment, the Notte Medievale has become a fixed event in Vimercate's calendar over the years, capable of enhancing the charm of the city's historic center.
The 2026 edition of La Notte Medievale di Vimercate takes place on Saturday, September 27, 2026, in the city's historic center. Entertainment begins at 5:30 PM with a parade presenting the artists, followed by itinerant shows that repeat in the streets and squares, culminating in the grand final fire show.
The event takes place in the historic center of Vimercate (Monza and Brianza). The city is connected to Monza and Milan by tram-train and bus; by car, it can be reached from the Tangenziale Est of Milan and the SP2.
Free admission. Entertainment starts from 5:30 PM. For information: [email protected].
