Vignone a Teatro is the summer event that brings the Municipality of Vignone to life. Located in a small village in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont, just behind Lake Maggiore, it offers a unique cultural experience. For four Friday evenings, Parco Ambrosoli in the Pianezza di Bureglio area turns into an open-air stage where theatre becomes an opportunity for meeting, laughter, and reflection for the entire community.

Four evenings of classics and contemporary comedy

The festival features a programme that blends classical theatre with brilliant contemporary comedy. Local companies take turns on stage to offer a varied schedule, capable of appealing to audiences of all ages. Highlights from the programme include:

• Donne all'Assemblea by Aristophanes, performed by students from the Compagnia Teatro 4 course;
• Regalo di Compleanno, the well-loved comedy by I Quattrogatti;
• La Tragicomica storia del Signor P., by the Compagnia Amici per un sogno;
• Amore a km zero, by the Compagnia Astra.

A community event

Vignone a Teatro was born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Vignone, the Associazione La Degagna di San Martino, and the CGS Don Bosco Verbania. The artistic direction is curated by the Cinecircolo Giovanile Socioculturale Don Bosco Verbania, which features its own companies, I Quattrogatti and Teatro 4. It is a festival deeply rooted in the social fabric of the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola area, designed to promote high-quality amateur theatre and community engagement.

Atmosphere and conviviality

More than just a theatre season, Vignone a Teatro is an open-air evening celebration. Before the show, starting at 7:00 PM, a food area managed by the Gruppo Alpini Arizzano is open, where you can enjoy dishes and drinks in good company, immersed in the park's greenery. As night falls, the stage lights come on, and the audience gathers under the stars to applaud the actors. In case of rain, performances are held in the park's multipurpose hall, ensuring no evening is cancelled.
