The beach of San Salvo Marina between music, sports, and entertainment
The Vertical Summer Tour is one of the most recognizable touring events of the Italian summer, making an annual stop in San Salvo Marina, the seaside district of San Salvo in the province of Chieti, located in the heart of the Abruzzo Trabocchi Coast. For two days, the beach transforms into a large open-air village where music, sports, and entertainment blend from morning until night.
The tour offers a program designed for all ages. Days begin with "soft" morning activities like muscle awakening and water aerobics, then heat up with prize games, dance lessons, tournaments, and sports challenges on the sand and in the water. The main stage hosts shows, DJ sets, and live entertainment, while thematic stands, relaxation areas, and family-friendly spaces are spread along the shoreline.
The official media partner of the event is Radio Deejay, which brings its most famous speakers and DJs to San Salvo to host the days and set the rhythm of the event with music and talent. This is the hallmark of the Vertical Summer Tour: combining the energy of radio with the seaside atmosphere, in a spirit of shared celebration that has made the event a permanent fixture on the San Salvo summer calendar.
Hosted among the national and international events of the San Salvo summer calendar, the Vertical Summer Tour represents one of the biggest attractions of the tourist season on the Abruzzo Riviera. The formula, enriched year after year with new partners and activities, has seen a constant increase in the number of participants, confirming San Salvo Marina as one of the most anticipated stops on the tour along Italy's beaches.
Located at the southern end of the Teatine coast in Abruzzo, San Salvo Marina offers a long sandy shoreline, well-equipped beach clubs, and a lively summer event scene. The Vertical Summer Tour is the perfect setting for those looking for a seaside holiday filled with fun, movement, and music, just a stone's throw from the border with Molise.
The Vertical Summer Tour 2026 stops in San Salvo Marina (Municipality of San Salvo, province of Chieti) on August 11-12, 2026. As with other stops along the Italian coast, the beach comes alive with live music, sports activities, games on the sand and in the water, and entertainment from morning until night.
The 2026 edition marks the entry of Leapmotor as the tour's Title Partner, with a Maxi Village that includes the Leapmotor Lounge, the Beach Race with an obstacle course on the sand, interactive games, and a test drive area. Radio Deejay remains the official media partner, bringing its speakers and DJs to the stage to host the two days. The San Salvo stop is part of a tour that in 2026 visits nine Italian seaside locations, from Bibione to San Vito Lo Capo.
Typical daily program: "soft" activities in the morning (muscle awakening, water aerobics), followed by prize games, dance lessons, tournaments, and sports challenges on the sand and in the water, DJ sets, and entertainment on the main stage by Radio Deejay. In the Leapmotor village: Beach Race, Blow Boost and Sand Hole interactive games, test drive area, and Leapmotor Lounge. Artistic line-up to be defined.
By car: Take the San Salvo exit on the A14 (Adriatica) motorway, then follow signs for San Salvo Marina. By train: Vasto-San Salvo station on the Adriatic line, connected to the town center by local buses. By plane: Pescara and Bari airports are at a moderate distance.
The event takes place on the beach of San Salvo Marina (Municipality of San Salvo, province of Chieti). Activities are spread throughout the day, from morning to evening.
Access to the village areas and activities is free. For information: Culture, Sports, Leisure, and Tourism Office of the Municipality of San Salvo.
