Vanoi Buskers Fest

Contemporary circus in the green heart of Trentino

The Vanoi Buskers Fest is a widespread contemporary circus and street arts festival that enlivens the Vanoi Valley every summer, in the municipality of Canal San Bovo (Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige). The initiative is conceived and curated by the LanciArte APS association, an organization that views contemporary circus as an autonomous language capable of influencing and being influenced by all other art forms.

For one weekend, the valley transforms into an open-air stage: artists perform in the squares and green spaces of the hamlets, from Zortea to Caoria and the center of Canal San Bovo. Juggling, aerial acrobatics, fire shows, clowning, and street theater follow one another from the afternoon until evening, when nightfall makes way for fire performances and live music.

The Casetta del Circo

The participatory heart of the event is the Casetta del Circo (Circus House) managed by LanciArte: a space where adults and children can try out, touch, and have fun with juggling and balancing equipment. It is a permanent, free workshop designed for all ages that accompanies the public throughout the festival day.

A community event

The Vanoi Buskers Fest is more than just a show; it is a village celebration. Performances are accompanied by food, drinks, and live music provided by the valley's Pro Loco associations—including the Pro Loco of Canal San Bovo, the Pro Loco Prade Cicona e Zortea, and the Pro Loco of Caoria—as well as local entertainment groups. Admission is free, in keeping with the spirit of street arts: bringing circus culture to the people, free of charge, in everyday spaces.

Set against the backdrop of the Vanoi Dolomites and the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Park, the event is an opportunity to discover a lesser-known valley in Trentino, combining the wonder of live performance with the beauty of the mountains.
