2025 Edition - Mongiuffi Melia stop
The Mongiuffi Melia stop took place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM in Piazza del Carmine, as part of the Taste of Awareness cycle with the theme 'Mountain Flavors'. The evening opened with a panel discussion dedicated to tradition, territory, and sustainable choices, with the participation of Mayor Rosario D'Amore, GAL President Antonio Bonfiglio, and agronomist Domenico Bongiorno, joined by young local entrepreneurs.
The star in the kitchen was Chef Roberto Antonuccio, with a cooking show focused on fried pepper rolls. The free tastings featured local specialties such as cannoli with ricotta, vastedda miciuffota with ancient grains, pennette with pork sauce, and sausage sandwiches. The evening concluded with a performance by the Triskelion folk group from Roccalumera, featuring traditional Sicilian songs and dances. The event, part of the traveling festival by GAL Taormina Peloritani, was free to attend.
