A legend of the climb

The Vallecamonica Trophy is one of the most historic and prestigious automobile hill climbs in Italy. The race takes place on the provincial road SP5 that goes from Malegno up towards Ossimo to Borno, in Valle Camonica, province of Brescia, along a track of about 9 kilometers. It is a climb that alternates very fast sections with technical, winding parts, where the car's power is as important as the driver's knowledge of the course and skill.

Italian Championship at altitude

For decades, the Trophy has been a reference event for the Italian Championship of the specialty (CIVM/CISA — Italian Mountain Speed Championship and SuperSalita). Single-seaters, prototypes, sports cars, and GTs compete on the Borno road, along with a large representation of historic cars that delight vintage motorsport enthusiasts.

The charm of the hill climb

Unlike closed circuits, the hill climb is a timed race on a mountain road: each car tackles the climb individually, aiming for the best time. The crowd gathered along the sides of the SP5 experiences the race up close with the roaring cars, in an atmosphere that combines sporting adrenaline and alpine scenery.

Borno and Valle Camonica

The event is also an opportunity to discover Borno and the Altopiano del Sole, in Valle Camonica: alpine villages, nature, and tradition provide the backdrop for a weekend of sport that has captivated the Brescia region for generations.
