Tuscan Scorzone Truffle Festival

The fourth edition of the Tuscan Scorzone Truffle Festival was held in Montespertoli (FI) at the Urban Park, over the weekends of June 14-15 and 21-22. The stalls of the Association of Truffle Hunters of the Bassa Valdelsa Hills, with the patronage of the Municipality of Montespertoli, offered a menu entirely dedicated to the summer black truffle, the scorzone.

Specialties included: truffle hunter's appetizer, truffle tagliolini, summer crespelle, seasoned beef tartare, fried eggs, and grilled beef tagliata, along with truffle desserts, cantuccini, vinsanto, and a selection of local Chianti wines. On Saturdays, dinner started at 7:30 PM, while on Sundays, the event was open for both lunch from 12:00 PM and dinner.
