The live music festival in memory of Simone Toss in Riva di Vallarsa
The Tupa Tupa Festival is a musical event held in Riva, a hamlet of the municipality of Vallarsa, in the Vallagarina valley in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). The event is dedicated to the memory of Simone Toss, a musician who passed away in April 2024 and a beloved figure in the Vallarsa and Trentino music scene. It is promoted by the Amici di Simo association, with the support of the Circolo Lamber, with the idea of transforming remembrance into an occasion for meeting, participation, and sharing through music.
The festival has a precise structure that has been established since its first edition: in the afternoon, there is a contest dedicated to emerging groups from the region and Northern Italy, a concrete opportunity for new bands to play on a real stage and be heard. The prize is not just symbolic: the days of professional studio recording allow young groups to leave a mark of their work. In the evening, the main guests take the stage, with a special focus on projects linked to Simone Toss's musical history.
Vallarsa is a scattered municipality, composed of numerous hamlets distributed along the Leno valley, a mountain territory nestled between the Pasubio massif and the Vallagarina valley. The Tupa Tupa Festival brings live music to this intimate, community-focused setting, where the Circolo Lamber in Riva becomes the beating heart of the local music scene for a day. It is a village-scale event with an authentic focus on the quality of the musical offering and generational renewal.
Those looking for a festival with a genuine atmosphere, far from large-scale events and close to the community that organizes it, will find the Tupa Tupa Festival a sincere appointment. The combination of the contest for emerging artists and the evening live sets offers two different ways to experience music in a single day: discovering new voices and the pleasure of listening to established bands, all in the name of a friendship that continues to play on.
The second edition of the Tupa Tupa Festival took place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 4:00 PM, at the Circolo Lamber in Riva, in the municipality of Vallarsa (Trento). Following the success of the first edition, the day confirmed the formula that alternates the contest for emerging bands in the afternoon with evening concerts, always in memory of Simone Toss and organized by the Amici di Simo association.
Great space was given to the new generation of musicians, with four groups competing and a concrete prize for the winning band. In the evening, the guest live sets closed a day dedicated to live music and sharing.
