Truffle Festival

The 2025 edition of the festival, titled «Note di Tartufo», took place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Piazza Bartolomeo III di Capua, in the heart of Roseto Valfortore. Starting at 7:00 PM, the square transformed into an open-air theater for the show cooking event, which saw local chefs Francesco Russo (from the restaurant «Tullje e Mallje» in Roseto Valfortore) and Antonio Fiorilli (from «Il Fauno» in San Bartolomeo in Galdo) compete live, with their preparations projected on a large LED screen. The evening was hosted by journalist Giovanni Vigilante, with insights from truffle expert Peppe Rossi.

From the square, the public continued along the alleys of the historic center on a gastronomic trail with themed islands and truffle-based tastings — from appetizers with local products to truffle pasta with parmesan, and from truffle caciocavallo cheese to Roseto sausage — accompanied by the wandering music of a local folk group. Mayor Lucilla Parisi emphasized how the event celebrates "an excellence that distinguishes us throughout Italy," the Monti Dauni truffle, while promoting the authenticity and cultural heritage of the village.
