The great night of music and solidarity in Piazza del Popolo in Ascoli Piceno
The Troiani Memorial is much more than a concert: it is the event that, every year, brings the city of Ascoli Piceno together in one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, Piazza del Popolo, around music and a cause that touches the heart of the entire region. Promoted by the Ascoli branch of A.I.L. (Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma), the event was created in memory of Alessandro Troiani, the young man from Ascoli who fought his illness by striving for his city to have a hematology department.
For years, the artistic direction of the festival has been led by Dardust, an Ascoli-based producer and musician among the most acclaimed on the international scene, capable of drawing some of the most beloved figures in Italian music to the square. Each edition blends pop, singer-songwriter music, and electronic influences, in a show meticulously crafted with sets, lighting, and arrangements designed specifically for the evening. A now-established tradition is the secret guest, whose name remains top secret until the night of the concert, always providing a surprise for the audience.
The heart of the Troiani Memorial remains its charitable purpose: the proceeds from the evening support research and assistance for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, carrying forward the commitment that Alessandro Troiani embodied. For this reason, the event has always enjoyed the patronage of the Municipality of Ascoli Piceno and has become one of the most cherished events of the summer in the Piceno capital, in the Marche region. Thousands of people flock to Piazza del Popolo every year, transforming solidarity into a great collective celebration.
The chosen setting is no accident: Piazza del Popolo, with its pale travertine stone, the Palazzo dei Capitani, and the Church of San Francesco, is considered one of the most elegant Renaissance living rooms in Italy. Under the stars, this space becomes a natural amphitheater that amplifies the concert's atmosphere and offers the audience an unforgettable evening.
The 27th edition of the Troiani Memorial returns to Piazza del Popolo in Ascoli Piceno on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated musical and solidarity events in the Marche region. The evening is organized by the Ascoli section of A.I.L. with the patronage of the Municipality and maintains its dual nature of a grand concert and fundraising for the fight against leukemia.
This year again, the artistic direction is entrusted to the Ascoli-based producer Dardust, who has announced an exceptional lineup and a great novelty: for the first time, the Memorial hosts the FORM – Filarmonica Marchigiana Orchestra, with arrangements for piano and strings.
Artistic Direction: Dardust (producer and musician from Ascoli).
Direction: Marco Boarino, former director of the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Paralympics.
For the first time, the artists are accompanied by the FORM – Filarmonica Marchigiana Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Alberto Cipolla, with arrangements for piano and strings.
