The Trofeo Maurigi is one of the most keenly awaited youth cycling races in the Bresciano area. It takes place in Ronco di Gussago, a hamlet of the Gussago Municipality (province of Brescia), and is reserved for the 'esordienti' categories (first and second year). The race, combined with the Sergio Maurigi Memorial, honours a figure linked to the area and a passion for cycling, and is organized by G.S. Ronco Maurigi – Delio Gallina.

The Santissima Challenge

The section that makes the Trofeo famous is the climb towards La Santissima, the monumental complex that overlooks Gussago from Colle Barbisone.
