Caminada de not en Paloss

A hike under the stars in Valle Trompia

The Caminada de not en Paloss is a non-competitive night hike organized by the Gruppo Alpini di Concesio (ANA), in collaboration with the Department of Sport of the Municipality of Concesio, in the Province of Brescia. The event, whose name is in the Brescian dialect ("the night walk to Palosso"), leads participants to climb in the dark towards the summit of Monte Palosso, in an experience that combines the pleasure of walking with the magic of the mountain at night.

The route to the summit

The itinerary starts from Pregno, a hamlet of Concesio, and passes through the Alpini refuge at Colma, chestnut woods, and the Cascina Grassi Carpine farmhouse, to reach the summit of Monte Palosso (1,158 m), from which you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Brescia and the surrounding valleys. The return follows the same route. Refreshment points are set up along the way to warm up the autumn night.

The Alpine spirit

The event is an expression of the spirit of volunteerism and love for the mountains of the Gruppo Alpini di Concesio, which has been organizing the event for many years. It is not a race, but a walk open to everyone, designed to share the territory and its trails in company.

Included in the "Let's get to know the valley by walking" calendar, the Caminada de not en Paloss is one of the most cherished hiking events in Concesio and Valle Trompia, capable of attracting walkers and mountain enthusiasts from the surrounding areas on a late November evening.
