The motorcycle trial event in the historic Castel del Bosco area, in Roure
The Trial Terre del Jolly is a motorcycle trial competition that brings the village of Castel del Bosco to life every summer. Located in the municipality of Roure, in the upper Chisone Valley within the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, the event is organized by G.S.R. Castel del Bosco in collaboration with the ASI Piedmont Regional Committee and serves as a round of the ASI Regional Trial Championship – North West Trophy.
Castel del Bosco has long been considered a historic trial venue: its slopes, rocky outcrops, and watercourses provide the ideal natural terrain for this discipline, where riders must navigate obstacles without ever putting their feet on the ground. Thanks to the organizational efforts of G.S.R. Castel del Bosco, this mountain area has regained its prominence, returning to a leading role in the Piedmontese trial scene.
The track winds through woods and rocky areas, offering a course described as technical, long, and spectacular. The sections are often split to facilitate the race, with obstacles calibrated for different categories, ranging from Experts and young Under riders to Amateurs and Veterans. This structure allows riders of all levels to test themselves on the same terrain, ensuring both balance and safety.
The logistical heart of the event is the multi-purpose hall in Castel del Bosco, which hosts registration, catering services, and the final awards ceremony on stage. A familiar and passionate atmosphere develops around the course, typical of mountain trial races, with spectators following the riders from section to section. Paddocks are provided for competitors, along with a large camper parking area equipped with water supply and disposal services, catering to enthusiasts arriving from across the North West.
Between alpine landscapes, sporting tradition, and local hospitality, the Trial Terre del Jolly is a highly anticipated event for motor enthusiasts and those looking to discover the charm of the Chisone Valley. The event blends sport, nature, and village life, helping to promote the territory of Roure and the upper valley.
The third edition of the Trial Terre del Jolly will be held on July 18-19, 2026, in the village of Castel del Bosco in Roure, as a round of the ASI Regional Trial Championship – North West Trophy. The event, organized by G.S.R. Castel del Bosco, confirms the format of the historic trial venue in the upper Chisone Valley.
Registration, start, finish, and awards ceremonies are planned, along with catering services, race paddocks, and a large camper parking area with water supply and disposal services. The full program, including schedules and admitted categories, will be announced by the organization closer to the event.
