In the Saint's Footsteps
The Trekking of the Last Journey of Saint Anthony symbolically retraces the Saint's final journey, as he left the woods of Camposampiero to reach Padua, where he died in 1231. The walk starts from the Antoniani Sanctuaries in Camposampiero (Padua) and arrives at the Basilica of Saint Anthony, covering about 24 kilometers of the Veneto plain.
A Path Between Nature and Faith
The route follows the course of the Muson dei Sassi, winding along the embankments, through farmhouses, and offering glimpses of the Camposampiero countryside. It is the first stage of the "Cammino di Sant'Antonio" (Saint Anthony's Way), the devotional itinerary connecting the Antonian sites in the Veneto region, and it combines the spiritual dimension of a pilgrimage with the sporting and naturalistic aspects of the walk.
A Walk for Everyone
Organized by FIASP (Italian Federation of Sports for All Amateurs), the event is a non-competitive march open to walkers of all levels. It's an opportunity to experience the deep connection between Camposampiero, Padua, and the figure of Saint Anthony at a slow pace.
