A Garden of Cinema, Theatre, and Music
Arena Romana Estate is one of the longest-running summer reviews in Padua: a program of cinema, theatre, and live music hosted in the Garden Theatre of Palazzo Zuckermann, in Corso Garibaldi, next to the archaeological area of the Roman Arena. Curated by Promovies, the review has been running for over thirty years.
Evenings Under the Stars
From late May throughout the summer, the open-air space hosts theatrical and musical performances, film screenings, and meetings with authors and directors. The garden of Palazzo Zuckermann thus becomes an open-air cultural lounge, immersed in greenery in the heart of Padua.
An Event for the City
The review combines major cinema titles, previews, author theatre, and concerts, with a program that changes from night to night and has made the Arena Romana one of the most recognizable summer events for the Paduan public.
Arena Romana Summer — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Arena Romana Estate in Padua kicks off on May 31st at the Garden Theatre of Palazzo Zuckermann, in Corso Garibaldi, and runs throughout the summer with cinema, theatre, and live music, organized by Promovies.

May–June 2026 — Garden Theatre of Palazzo Zuckermann
- May 31, 9:15 PM — "Lo chiederemo agli alberi" (We'll Ask the Trees), a theatre and music performance inspired by Italo Calvino's *The Baron in the Trees*, directed by Bruno Lovadina with Coristi per caso (Vivaticket presale; free reservation on Eventbrite)
- June 5, 9:30 PM — "Mario Volpato, the mathematician who anticipated the future" (preview), text by Karma Gava, narrator Andrea Pennacchi (free entry with reservation)
- June 7, 9:15 PM — "Il doge: un ritratto della redenzione" (The Doge: A Portrait of Redemption), documentary film by Gianna Isabella Magliocco, with a meeting with the director and protagonists (€7)
- June 13, 9:15 PM — "Forse un uomo: Sandro Luporini e Giulio D'Agnello — Le nuove canzoni" (Perhaps a Man: Sandro Luporini and Giulio D'Agnello — The New Songs) (€10)
