Music inhabits the Eremitani cloister
Music at the Museum is a series of chamber concerts held in the evocative Albini Cloister of the Civic Museums of the Eremitani, in the heart of Padua. Curated by the Friends of Music of Padua, the series brings live music to one of the most intimate and fascinating spaces of the city's museum complex, on Thursday evenings that combine culture, architecture, and listening.
Uncommon ensembles and refined repertoire
The programming is distinguished by the choice of uncommon chamber ensembles and a repertoire that alternates ancient music with that of the 20th century and contemporary. Renaissance lute, wind ensembles, solo cello: each concert is a carefully curated listening experience, far from the big names and mass programming, designed for those seeking quality and discovery.

The concerts begin at 6:00 PM, at sunset, and have a symbolic ticket price of €5, with mandatory booking. In case of rain, the events move to the Sala Romanino of the museum. The Music at the Museum 2026 series offers five chamber music events in the Albini Cloister of the Civic Museums of the Eremitani in Padua, on Thursdays at 6:00 PM: May 21, June 4, June 25, September 3, and September 10.
Curated by the Friends of Music of Padua, the series features uncommon chamber ensembles and a repertoire that alternates ancient and contemporary music, with a symbolic ticket price of €5 and mandatory booking.

- Silvia Vavassori (lute, National Arts Award 2025): "Il cantar al liuto tra Italia e Inghilterra nel Cinquecento", with music by F. D'Ana, V. Capirola, G.M. da Crema, M. Cara, F. da Milano, B. Tromboncino, J.A. Dalza, M. Dall'Aquila, J. Dowland, and F. Cutting.
Thursday, June 25 — 6:00 PM
- Philia Ensemble: Emma Pilastro (flute and piccolo), Daria D'Onofrio (oboe), Miriam Goffredo (clarinet), Anna Bellini (bassoon).
Thursday, September 10 — 6:00 PM
- Eleonora Testa (cello), first prize winner of the "Janigro Junior Competition": music by J.S. Bach, P. Hindemith, E. Ysaÿe, and G. Ligeti.
