In the heart of Grottammare Alta, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy in the province of Ascoli Piceno (Marche), Tramonto al Castello is born: a new musical event designed to celebrate the summer solstice in one of the most evocative panoramic viewpoints on the Adriatic coast. The appointment is for Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 6:30 PM, in the belvedere area of the castle, where the balcony overlooking the sea offers a view that ranges between the Adriatic and the hills of the Piceno hinterland.

The music of Valentino Alessandrini

The protagonist of the evening is the Marche musician Valentino Alessandrini, fresh from an international tour, who has chosen the Pearl of the Adriatic to present his violin and sax show titled "Tell me Your Story". An exciting musical journey, built around the dialogue between the two instrumental voices, which accompanies the audience as the daylight gives way to the colors of the summer sunset.

An event for families and the territory

The afternoon will be enriched by the presence of many friends of Artistic Picenum, announced progressively by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event. The aim of the event is to enhance the splendor of the location by valuing the numerous local artistic talents, in an event designed for families and for the quality of the cultural offering. The initiative is the result of the collaboration between the Artistic Picenum association, the Municipal Administration of Grottammare, and the Culture Office, as part of a calendar that brings music and live performance to the most precious corners of the old town.

The castle of Grottammare

The setting is the castle of Grottammare, whose origins date back to the 9th-13th centuries: the remains of the walls and towers are now immersed in a green park of maritime pines, with a panoramic balcony overlooking the coast. It is precisely this atmosphere, suspended between history and landscape, that makes Tramonto al Castello an opportunity to photograph and experience the village of Grottammare Alta during the most beautiful hour of the day.
