About Tracce di Pace

Launched in 2025 under the artistic direction of Maestro Leonardo De Amicis, the Tracce di Pace Festival is a traveling event spanning Avezzano, Celano, and Magliano de' Marsi, in the province of L'Aquila. Conceived as a journey through music, words, and spirituality, the festival transforms art into a tool for reflection, rebirth, and community, carrying a powerful cultural message against all forms of violence and conflict.

A festival for peace in the heart of the Marsica region

The Tracce di Pace Festival is one of the most significant new additions to the Abruzzo summer calendar: a traveling festival launched in 2025 in Avezzano, in the province of L'Aquila, which also involves the municipalities of Celano and Magliano de' Marsi in a collaborative effort. The project bears the prestigious signature of Maestro Leonardo De Amicis, a leading figure in the national music scene, supported by Maria Cristina De Amicis in the artistic direction.

Music, words, and spirituality

Conceived as a journey through music, spoken word, and spirituality, the festival aims to transform art into a tool for reflection, rebirth, and community. The stage features a mix of established artists and emerging voices from the Italian music and theater scene, weaving together performances, storytelling, and meetings that combine contemporary languages with the depth of collective memory. The message running through every stop is clear: a gesture of light against all forms of violence and conflict.

A traveling route through the Marsican villages

The festival's format is nomadic: the evenings visit the towns of Celano and Magliano de' Marsi before converging in Avezzano, which hosts a grand finale featuring major names in Italian music. It is a way to connect three communities of the Marsica region around a shared cultural project, highlighting the squares and iconic landmarks of the territory.

Part of the Marsican summer

Tracce di Pace is part of the extensive summer program in Avezzano, which in its 2025 edition offered nearly one hundred events between late June and early September. In a region like Abruzzo, which makes its mountain identity and spirituality a hallmark, this festival adds a new voice dedicated to the universal theme of peace and the intersection of the arts.

Tracce di Pace — edition 2026

The dates for the 2026 edition of the Tracce di Pace Festival have not yet been announced. Following its 2025 debut, the traveling festival across Avezzano, Celano, and Magliano de' Marsi is expected to return during the summer: as soon as the Municipality of Avezzano and the artistic direction release the calendar, this page will be updated with stops, locations, and the program.

At the moment, the official dates for the 2026 edition of the Tracce di Pace Festival have not been announced. As it is an event launched in 2025 and promoted by the Municipality of Avezzano together with Celano and Magliano de' Marsi, it is likely that the festival will be held again during the summer, in line with the tradition of the first edition.

The detailed program, including guest artists and the schedule for the various stops in the Marsica region, will be announced by the organizers in the months leading up to the event.
