Edition 2025 — Trabocchi and Ventricina del Vastese
The 2025 debut
The first edition of the Trabocchi and Ventricina del Vastese festival was held on August 2-3, 2025, in the picnic area of the Bosco di Don Venanzio in Pollutri, in the province of Chieti. The event, organized by the Associazione Costa dei Trabocchi APS in collaboration with Slow Food, focused on the Ventricina del Vastese, a Slow Food Presidium cured meat.
Over the two evenings, visitors were able to taste the ventricina in numerous variations: from appetizers with mozzarella and tomatoes to gnocchetti with ventricina and asparagus sauce, from "cif e ciaf" ventricina to skewers, with arrosticini and scrippelle completing the offering. The event was enlivened by a local produce market, vinyl sets by DJ Mc Adams, and an area with inflatable games for children.
