Five days of unsupported bikepacking in the heart of Montefeltro, between the sea, UNESCO villages, and the Apennines
The Tour3Regioni TRAIL is the new offering from Bike-Advisor ASD, based in Monte Grimano Terme, a charming hilltop village in the upper Conca valley, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the Marche region. Part of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in Italy' club and overlooking a panorama stretching from the Adriatic Riviera to the Montefeltro hinterland, the village becomes the base camp for five days, from July 17 to 21, 2026, for an unsupported bikepacking event unlike any other cycling event in the area.
Born from the experience and success of the MTB Tour3Regioni circuit, the TRAIL inherits its identity, logo, and territories but interprets them with a new spirit: no stopwatch, no rankings, no support. It's a freer and more immersive formula, where each participant independently manages their pace, stops, and strategy, aiming to highlight the landscape and the journey before the competition. The organization provides support points along the route, but the unsupported philosophy leaves riders maximum freedom in choosing their overnight stays and food.
The TRAIL offers three modular routes, traversable in one to five days depending on your fitness and available time:
The routes cross three regions, Marche, Romagna, and Tuscany, along historic dirt roads and natural landscapes. Starting from the foot of the Civic Tower of Monte Grimano Terme, you cycle towards San Leo with its spectacular Fortress, descend to the sea passing along the seafronts of Rimini and Cattolica, then ascend towards the hills of the Gothic Line, passing through Gradara, Mondaino, and Montecalvo in Foglia, finally reaching Urbino, a UNESCO World Heritage city. The long route also includes Acqualagna, the truffle capital, Sant'Angelo in Vado, the legendary climb of Monte Carpegna with its 22 hairpin bends up to 1400 meters (Marco Pantani's mountain), and Macerata Feltria.
Montefeltro is a borderland between Marche, Romagna, and Tuscany, where medieval fortresses, fortified villages, and Apennine ridges alternate within a few kilometers of the Adriatic Sea. Cycling the Tour3Regioni TRAIL means traversing this variety of landscapes in a single adventure, with the possibility of being accompanied by family and friends who, even if not cycling, can experience the territory and its activities.
The Tour3Regioni TRAIL 2026 inaugurates Bike-Advisor ASD's new bikepacking format. For the first edition, from July 17 to 21, the base camp is at Parco Ciacci in Monte Grimano Terme, with the start at the foot of the Civic Tower. Participants choose from three modular routes lasting one to five days and cycle in total autonomy through the hills of Montefeltro, the coast of Rimini and Cattolica, and the historic villages up to Urbino.
Unsupported event: no race, no rankings, no support. Each rider manages their pace, stops, and overnight stays independently. The organization provides support points along the route. Three modular routes from one to five days:
Start from Monte Grimano Terme towards San Leo and its Fortress; descent to the sea with a passage on the seafronts of Rimini and Cattolica; ascent towards the hills of the Gothic Line through Gradara, Mondaino, and Montecalvo in Foglia; arrival in Urbino, a UNESCO city. Along the route also Morciano di Romagna, San Clemente, Peglio, and Macerata Feltria.
