The Carnival of Torre di Mosto

The Torresano Carnival is the Carnival festival of Torre di Mosto, a municipality in the province of Venice in the Basso Piave region. It takes place during the carnival period, between February and the beginning of spring, and is a free event aimed primarily at children and families.

Masks, Games, and Awards

The classic program includes the welcome for costumed attendees, face painting, Just Dance sessions, games, music, and dancing. The highlight is the award ceremony for masks: prizes are given for the most beautiful, original, fun, likeable, imaginative, and fantastic costumes, in a festive atmosphere that involves both children and adults.

Fritters for Everyone

As per Venetian Carnival tradition, there are fritters and drinks for all participants in costume. The festival is usually held at the Oratory of Torre di Mosto, an indoor venue that can accommodate families and children even in case of bad weather.

A Community Festival in the Basso Piave

Organized with the involvement of the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Torre di Mosto, the Torresano Carnival is one of the most cherished winter community events in the town.
