The Torneo dei Rioni di Todi is one of the most cherished summer events by the community of Todi, in the province of Perugia. Born to strengthen the bonds between the districts and hamlets of the city, the tournament transforms the Parco della Rocca into a great meeting place where sport, conviviality, and neighborhood identity merge.

Five-a-side football, taverns, and celebration

The heart of the event is the evening five-a-side football tournament, which sees teams from the districts and hamlets of the area compete — from Porta Romana to Cappuccini, from Pian di Porto to Pantalla, from Collevalenza to Ponterio. The matches, usually three per evening, take place at Parco della Rocca, while the Chiostro di San Fortunato hosts the taverns with traditional dishes and music that accompanies the evenings after the games.

A community celebration

Organized by the Loop association with the patronage of the Municipality of Todi, the Torneo dei Rioni is much more than a sports competition: it is a moment of aggregation that involves entire families and revives the spirit of belonging to the districts. For the visitor, it is an opportunity to experience the authentic atmosphere of a village festival, between cheering, good food, and music in the suggestive acropolis of Todi.
