Sport at 360 degrees in Bergamo, Isola Bergamasca and Valle San Martino
Time|Out Sport Festival is a travelling event that spans Bergamo, Isola Bergamasca, and Valle San Martino, with its opening hosted by the Municipality of Sotto il Monte Giovanni XXIII (Province of Bergamo). The core idea is to view sport from all angles: not just competition and results, but also culture, education, health, and social cohesion.
The slogan for the 2026 edition, "Mettiamoci in gioco" (Let's Play), encapsulates the festival's approach, which tackles sensitive issues such as athlete safety, sports dropout, the use of technology, and, above all, the fight against abuse and the protection of minors in youth sectors. Alongside moments of reflection, the program features tournaments, competitions, and public meetings.
The festival brings together competitions and meetings with big names in sport. Among the announced protagonists for the 2026 edition are Paolo Savoldelli, Alberto Cova, Giacomo Agostini, and Gianpaolo Bellini, as well as sessions dedicated to the protection of young people with industry experts.
The event is organized by HServizi S.p.A. and Unica Sport SSD, with the involvement of local institutions and the University of Bergamo. The choice to start from Sotto il Monte connects the festival to a community active in sports and associations, within a framework that networks several municipalities in the Isola and Valle San Martino areas.
The third edition of Time|Out Sport Festival is held from May 17 to June 7, 2026, spread over approximately three weeks between Bergamo, Isola Bergamasca, and Valle San Martino. The official presentation took place on May 7, 2026, in Bergamo, at Spazio Viterbi.
The opening is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, in Sotto il Monte Giovanni XXIII; among the events in the town, on Friday, May 30, the Sala Civica in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II hosts mountaineer Matteo Della Bordella with the talk "Life is a strenuous and wonderful climb". The festival addresses issues of athlete safety and the fight against abuse in youth sectors, with the participation of experts such as Paul Stewart and Vincenzo Fuoco.
