Three evenings of writing, words, and music at the Piazza sull'Acqua in Rimini
Biglietti agli Amici is the cultural event that lights up the Piazza sull'Acqua in Rimini every summer, the scenic space created next to the ancient Ponte di Tiberio, in the heart of the San Giuliano district. Founded in 2021, the festival is directed by Rimini-born writer Marco Missiroli and offers a constant dialogue between literature, journalism, music, philosophy, cinema, and visual arts. Admission is always free: it is one of the most beloved events of the cultural summer in the Municipality of Rimini, in the province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna.
Each edition brings together about ten of the most representative guests from the Italian and international cultural scene. The evenings alternate book presentations, discussions on current affairs, readings, comedy moments, and live acoustic concerts, in an informal atmosphere that brings the audience closer to the authors. The format favors direct encounters, conversation, and listening, far from the logic of large commercial events.
The choice of location is not accidental: the Piazza sull'Acqua is reflected in the basin of the Ponte di Tiberio, an Augustan-era Roman bridge that is one of Rimini's symbols. At sunset, with the lights reflecting on the water, the square becomes a natural amphitheater capable of hosting hundreds of spectators. In case of rain, the events move to the Teatro Amintore Galli, in the city center.
Promoted by the Municipality of Rimini and organized with the support of Babel Agency, Biglietti agli Amici has established itself in a few years as one of the flagship events of Rimini's summer calendar, capable of bringing leading names in literature and entertainment to Emilia-Romagna while maintaining an intimate and free spirit. A festival that invites the city to pause, listen, and rediscover the pleasure of shared words.
The sixth edition of Biglietti agli Amici takes place from Tuesday, June 23 to Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Piazza sull'Acqua, next to Rimini's Ponte di Tiberio. The evenings begin at 8:00 PM (with early opening at 7:45 PM on the first day) and admission is free. Artistic direction is by writer Marco Missiroli; organization is by Babel Agency for the Municipality of Rimini, with Gruppo Hera as presenting partner. In case of rain, events move to the Teatro Amintore Galli.
Piazza sull'Acqua is located next to the Ponte di Tiberio, in the San Giuliano district, a few minutes' walk from the historic center of Rimini. From Rimini train station, it can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes or by city buses. By car, take the Rimini Nord exit from the A14 highway.
Admission to all events is free, subject to availability.
In case of rain, the events are held at the Teatro Amintore Galli, in the center of Rimini.
