About Tiburtina Street Food

For an entire weekend, Via Tiburtina transforms into Rome's largest street food village. Curated by TTS Food, the event brings together a brigade of Italian and international street chefs for three days of flavor, music, and conviviality in the Tiburtino district, with free admission. Regional specialties, global cuisines, craft beers, and signature cocktails animate a pedestrianized stretch of the capital between the Pietralata and Portonaccio areas in Municipality IV.

The largest street food village in Rome on Via Tiburtina

The Tiburtina TTS Street Food is the Roman stop of the traveling tour by TTS Food (a Mela Eventi format), which for an entire weekend turns a stretch of Via Tiburtina, near number 521 in the Tiburtino district, into a massive open-air restaurant. The section between Via Vincenzo Morello and Via delle Cave di Pietralata is pedestrianized to host dozens of gourmet stalls in the heart of Rome's Municipality IV, between the Pietralata and Portonaccio neighborhoods.

A brigade of street chefs from Italy and the world

The heart of the event is the selection of street chefs who offer live cooking shows and made-to-order dishes. Alongside gourmet reinterpretations of Italian classics, you will find regional specialties from Southern and Central Italy—from Sicily to Puglia, Abruzzo to the Marche—alongside a wide culinary tour of the world.

  • Italy: arrosticini, fried delicacies, seafood and land specialties, fresh desserts
  • Mexico: tacos and jalapeños
  • Venezuela: arepas
  • Greece: pita and gyros
  • India: chicken tikka and samosa
  • United States: slow-smoked barbecue
  • Spain: paella
  • Argentina: empanadas

There is no shortage of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, as well as a wide selection of sweets: fresh tiramisu and crepes, cannoli, cassatine, pistachio delights, brioche col tuppo filled on the spot, and cheesecake.

Beers and signature mixology

The food and wine experience is completed by a dedicated beverage area. Exclusively for TTS Food, we feature Unfiltered Raw Beer from the Bavarian brewery Landshuter Brauhaus, while Drink Lab is the format dedicated to signature mixology, with cocktails and Spritz prepared by expert bartenders. The atmosphere is enlivened by lights and music in true TTS Food style.

A staple of the Tiburtino district

Launched in 2024, the Tiburtina Street Food has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated gastronomic events in eastern Rome, returning annually in the spring. The 2026 edition, coinciding with the May 1st Labor Day holiday, confirms the winning formula of a free event for all ages that combines great food, music, and social vibes in the Lazio region.

Tiburtina Street Food — edition 2026

Coinciding with the Labor Day holiday, from May 1st to 3rd, 2026, the Tiburtina TTS Street Food will animate Via Tiburtina with over twenty-five street chefs, global cuisines, craft beers, and signature cocktails. Three days of flavor, lights, and music with free admission in Rome's Tiburtino district.
