About Thiene Carnival

In February, the Thiene Carnival lights up the historic center with its spectacular night parade of floats and masked groups, followed by the grand Sunday afternoon parade and the Fat Tuesday Children's Carnival. Amidst lights, confetti, majorettes, and a band, it's one of the most beloved carnival events in the Alto Vicentino, organized by Pro Loco Thiene.

The Carnival that lights up the night in Thiene

Every February, Thiene (province of Vicenza) celebrates its Thiene Carnival, an event distinguished by its captivating night parade of floats and masked groups. This has become a characteristic format, transforming the historic center into a spectacle of lights, music, and colors.

Three days of celebration

The program unfolds in several stages: the Friday night parade, with illuminated floats and masked groups starting from Piazza Scalcerle; the grand Sunday afternoon parade, with floats, masked groups, majorettes, and a band; and finally, the Children's Carnival on Fat Tuesday, in Piazza Chilesotti, with entertainment, a DJ set, illusionist shows, and face painting.

A community celebration

The Thiene Carnival is organized by Pro Loco Thiene in collaboration with the historic center's animation team and the city's commercial associations. More than just a parade, it's an event with strong popular participation, attracting visitors from all over the Alto Vicentino and the province of Vicenza to Thiene.
