The Pink Night is the symbolic festival marking the start of the summer season on the Romagna Riviera: a great New Year's Eve of summer that, since 2006, has been painting the entire Adriatic coast of Emilia-Romagna pink. In Gatteo Mare, a seaside resort in the Municipality of Gatteo in the Province of Forlì-Cesena, the event transforms into a long weekend of completely free shows, music, and entertainment, attracting thousands of tourists and residents.
A Weekend Tinted Pink
The event unfolds in the town squares, the Don Guanella Gardens, and the scenic mouth of the Rubicone River, where the fireworks display synchronized with all other Riviera locations takes place each year. Among the most popular events is the Pink Holi Parade, a colorful street parade that crosses the streets of Gatteo Mare, distributing white t-shirts and clouds of pink powder, and the Guitar Night, an evening dedicated to the great masters of Italian rock guitar in Piazza della Libertà .
The Solstice Festival in Gatteo Paese
Alongside the seaside events, the Pink Night also offers a more intimate side in the hilly village of Gatteo Paese, with the Summer Solstice Festival: an evocative dawn concert in the Courtyard of the Malatesta Castle, accompanied by exhibitions, folk music, and evening concerts. The 2026 edition of the Pink Night of Gatteo Mare celebrates the twenty-first anniversary of the great Romagna summer festival, with events spread between the seaside resort and the village of Gatteo Paese. Three days of completely free music, color, and fun, in the heart of the Province of Forlì-Cesena.

Friday, June 19th
- 9:00 PM — Pink Holi Parade (Don Guanella Gardens): a colorful street parade through the streets of Gatteo Mare, with distribution of white t-shirts and clouds of pink powder.
- 9:30 PM — Divertipiazza (Piazza Romagna Mia): DJ set and entertainment.
- 9:30 PM — Guitar Night (Piazza della Libertà ): an evening with three masters of Italian rock guitar, Ricky Portera (rock soul of Lucio Dalla and Stadio), Giuseppe Scarpato (historic right-hand man of Edoardo Bennato), and Cristian "Cicci" Bagnoli (Steve Rogers Band).
- Around 11:30 PM — Fireworks (mouth of the Rubicone River): fireworks display synchronized with other Riviera locations.
Saturday, June 20th
- 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM — Seventhird Car Expo 2026: exhibition of customized cars (also on Sunday).
- 9:30 PM — Pink Voices: female choir, a pink wave of harmony and passion.
- 9:30 PM — The Pink Night of the Princesses (Piazza della Libertà ): spectacular parade of princesses in costume.
Sunday, June 21st
- 5:30 AM - 9:30 PM — Summer Solstice Festival (Gatteo Paese): dawn concert in the Courtyard of the Malatesta Castle, classical music, exhibition, and evening concerts.
- 9:30 PM — Divertipiazza and Welcome Party: entertainment and welcome party of the Gatteo Mare Summer Village.

How to Get There
By car: A14 motorway, exit Cesena, then follow signs for the sea towards Gatteo Mare. By train: Gatteo a Mare station on the Bologna-Rimini-Ancona Adriatic line, or Cesena station with bus connections. The nearest airport is Federico Fellini Airport in Rimini.
