Tesino Color Run

A festival of colors on the Tesino plateau

The Tesino Color Run is the most anticipated colorful race of the summer in Pieve Tesino, a small town on the Tesino plateau nestled among the forests of the eastern Valsugana, in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. It is not a competitive race, but a 5-kilometre fun run designed for pure enjoyment: the clock doesn't matter; what counts is getting swept up in clouds of colored powder and running, walking, or dancing alongside friends and family.

How the race works

The route winds for approximately 5 kilometres, starting and finishing in the Sports Centre area, near the Tesino Alpine Rescue headquarters. At every kilometer, participants pass through a station where they are "hit" by a different colored powder: you start dressed in white and reach the finish line transformed into a living rainbow. At the end of the race, the big final party kicks off with a simultaneous color toss, music, and DJ sets that liven up the afternoon and evening.

A day for the whole family

The Tesino Color Run is more than just a race: it is a full day of entertainment. During the event, areas are set up for both adults and children, featuring recreational activities, a climbing wall, and entertainment designed for the little ones. There is also a food stand serving sandwiches, beer, and local specialties, while the afternoon culminates in the colorful party that involves everyone present.

Sport, community, and solidarity

Born in 2019 through local initiative and organized by the Pro Loco of Pieve Tesino with the involvement of local associations, the Tesino Color Run has attracted hundreds of participants from all over Trentino and beyond since its first edition. Alongside its sporty and festive spirit, there is a charitable soul: a portion of the registration fee is donated to charity, giving the event a value that goes beyond mere fun.

The Tesino, between nature and tradition

The setting is the Tesino plateau, an area of great natural charm in the Valsugana, a land of forests, meadows, and ancient traditions. Participating in the Tesino Color Run means experiencing a day of joy immersed in a mountain landscape, discovering an authentic corner of Trentino far from the most crowded tourist destinations.
