At the Area Fiera in Montano Lucino, a town on the outskirts of Como, in the Province of Como, summer brings with it the unmistakable aromas of Abruzzese cuisine. The Festival degli Arrosticini is the festival celebrating the famous sheep skewer, a gastronomic symbol of Abruzzo, in a weekend dedicated to taste and conviviality.

Arrosticini take centre stage

The heart of the festival is the arrosticini, the small sheep meat skewers cooked over the coals of the typical Abruzzese "canala", served hot and steaming. Alongside them, other specialities of Abruzzese cuisine enrich the menu, in a journey of flavours that brings the tradition of central Italy to the heart of Lombardy.
