Z Festival

A distributed festival, created by young people

Z Festival is a distributed cultural festival that spans the Brianza region, with events spread across several Municipalities in the provinces of Como and Monza e Brianza: Arosio, Cabiate, Carugo, Erba, Inverigo, Meda, and Mariano Comense. Its distinctive feature is its nature: it is conceived by young people for young people, the result of the work of a collective of nine youth associations and groups from the area, including the Pro Loco of Carugo.

"La Brianza ad alta voce" (Brianza Loud and Clear)

The theme of the 2026 edition is "La Brianza ad alta voce": an invitation to give voice to youth expression, transforming squares, parks, and everyday settings into spaces for dialogue, creativity, and active citizenship. It is a festival that aims to give young people a leading role, offering them places and opportunities to express themselves and engage.

A varied and free program

The Z Festival calendar is rich and diverse: open mics, live concerts, creative workshops, talks and meetings, activities for children, days dedicated to urban culture with skateboarding, dance, music, and live painting. In Carugo, in particular, workshops, activities for children, open mic sessions, and concerts are held, while other events take place in the other participating Municipalities. All events are free, some require registration, and are primarily designed for the 15-35 age group but also open to families and citizens.

A network of associations

The festival is promoted by a collective that brings together entities such as Giovani per Carugo, Lo Snodo di Erba, the Pro Loco organizations of Mariano Comense, Carugo, Cabiate, and Arosio (with the youth group WeAro), the Youth Council of Inverigo, the Youth Council of Meda, and Giovani Reporter. A widespread network that makes Z Festival a successful example of youth leadership and collaboration between Municipalities in the Brianza region.
