Two days dedicated to contemporary Asian cultures featuring music, street food, and K-pop
The Taormina Asian Fest is an event dedicated to contemporary Asian cultures, held in the town of Taormina, in the province of Messina, Sicily. The event aims to bring a modern and engaging format to Southern Italy, combining culture, entertainment, and performance through an immersive journey into Korea, Japan, China, and the Philippines. The setting is the famous Ionian town, an international tourist destination that welcomes visitors from all over the world during the summer.
For two days, the public can enjoy a complete experience featuring Asian street food, music, performances, workshops, interactive activities, themed areas, and creative spaces designed for communities passionate about Eastern culture. Content creators, artists, and special guests will enliven the festival with meet & greets, shows, and live activities, helping to create a dynamic and international atmosphere.
One of the most anticipated moments is the K-pop Night scheduled for Saturday, July 4th, conceived as one of the weekend's main events and created in collaboration with one of Southern Italy's leading K-pop cultural organizations. The evening celebrates the music and pop phenomena that have captivated young people worldwide from Korea.
On the evening of Sunday, July 5th, the event moves to the evocative setting of the Teatro Antico of Taormina, where the festival concludes before the performance of The Nutcracker. A blend of the timeless charm of the Greco-Roman monument and the energy of contemporary Asian cultures.
Overlooking the Ionian Sea and dominated by Mount Etna, Taormina is one of Sicily's most beloved destinations. With the Taormina Asian Fest, the town enriches its summer calendar with a unique international offering, capable of attracting fans of Eastern culture and curious tourists in the heart of the tourist season.
