The homemade pasta festival in Villa San Filippo
The Tagliatella Festival is one of the most anticipated gastronomic events of late spring in the hamlet of Villa San Filippo, part of the Municipality of Monte San Giusto, in the province of Macerata. The event takes place in Largo Minnucci and transforms the small village into a meeting point for gourmets, families, and live music enthusiasts for several evenings.
As the name suggests, the queen of the table is hand-rolled tagliatelle, a symbol of the Marche peasant tradition. The food stand offers the pasta in various versions, alongside a rich selection that changes depending on the evening: the first evening is dedicated to fish specialties, while meat options are available throughout the festival. Everything is prepared by the volunteers of the Villa San Filippo Festival Committee, which has been organizing the event for years with the patronage of the Municipality of Monte San Giusto.
Alongside the food, the Tagliatella Festival offers live music every evening, tribute band performances, shows, and entertainment. There is also a dance floor, the true pulsating heart of the festival, where people gather until late at night. Admission is free, and the atmosphere is that of authentic village festivals, where good food blends with fun and togetherness.
Now in its several editions, the festival represents a moment of strong identity for the community of Villa San Filippo and for the entire Municipality of Monte San Giusto. It is the ideal opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Marche, far from the most beaten tourist routes, and to savor the genuine flavors of a gastronomic tradition passed down from generation to generation.
