About Gnocchitti Festival

The Gnocchitti Festival brings Piazza San Nicola in the historic center of Supino to life as the grand finale of the Feast of Saint Anatolia. The Nui Simo du Supino folk group hand-prepares gnocchitti, the traditional long pasta of the Ciociaria region, served alongside folk music and live concerts. An evening of conviviality in the heart of the Lepini Mountains, in the province of Frosinone, part of the 'Supino 360° – Identity, Traditions and Community in Celebration' calendar.

A festival in the heart of the Lepini Mountains

In Supino, a village in the province of Frosinone nestled on the slopes of the Lepini Mountains, the Gnocchitti Festival is the summer event that brings the community and visitors together in Piazza San Nicola, in the heart of the historic center. The event concludes the festivities in honor of Saint Anatolia, the town's beloved patron saint, transforming the square into a large open-air dining room where the aroma of handmade pasta mingles with the notes of traditional Ciociaria folk music.

Gnocchitti, the signature pasta of Supino

The absolute stars of the evening are the gnocchitti, a fresh, long pasta with a characteristic elongated shape, handmade according to recipes passed down through generations. Considered the town's signature dish, the gnocchitti are prepared 'just like in the old days' by the cooks and women of the local folk group: for the 2026 edition, a full 105 kilograms of dough were kneaded by hand. Served with traditional Ciociaria sauces, they represent an authentic gastronomic heritage that the Municipality of Supino protects through the Municipal Denomination of Origin (De.C.O.), established to promote local typical products.

The grand finale of the Feast of Saint Anatolia

The festival is the concluding evening of a three-day celebration that weaves together religious devotion and popular tradition. The program dedicated to Saint Anatolia includes liturgical celebrations, the evocative procession through the village streets, and evening entertainment in the square with concerts and shows. It is a powerful moment of identity for Supino: the festival attracts worshippers and visitors from neighboring towns and involves multiple generations, from children to the elderly, in a climate of pride for their roots.

Folk music and concerts in the square

The soul of the festival is the Nui Simo du Supino folk group, the guardian of the town's historical memory, which for over ten years has been recovering and passing on the songs, dances, costumes, and customs of the Supino tradition. During the evening, the group accompanies the tasting with folk music performances, while the stage in Piazza San Nicola hosts live concerts that keep the square dancing until late at night. The formula is that of the best local festivals: genuine cuisine, infectious joy, and music for everyone.

Supino 360° and regional promotion

The event is organized by the Municipality of Supino together with the 'Supino in Vetrina' business network and the Nui Simo du Supino folk group, and is included in the Supino 360° – Identity, Traditions and Community in Celebration calendar, a project realized with the contribution of the Lazio Region and the support of the 'Strade del Commercio del Lazio'. The goal is to promote local artisanal, commercial, and gastronomic excellence, making the festival not just a village party but a true showcase of the most authentic Ciociaria.
