Jazz and wine in the ancient village of Specchia
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In Lower Salento, in the municipality of Specchia (Province of Lecce, Apulia), Suoni diVini – Jazz & Wine Festival is the summer appointment that fuses two pleasures: jazz music and wine culture. For a few evenings in July, the festival transforms the ancient village—part of the Borghi più belli d'Italia (Most Beautiful Villages in Italy) circuit and awarded the Orange Flag by the Touring Club—into a widespread stage where concerts intertwine with the aromas of the cellars.
The heart of the event is Palazzo Protonobilissimo Risolo, a historic residence in the town center: its courtyards host the evening concerts, while the cobbled streets and squares of the village—such as Piazza del Popolo—welcome tastings and itinerant performances. It is a unique way to experience the nightlife of Specchia, illuminated and lively, walking between a glass of wine and a trumpet solo.
Alongside the music, the festival offers a curated food and wine journey: Apulian, French, and Spanish wines are selected and paired with cheeses, cured meats, and typical Salento products. Tastings are enjoyed using a dedicated pass, allowing visitors to sample labels proposed by wine experts involved in the festival. There are also masterclasses and in-depth sessions on the world of wine and Apulian viticulture.
Suoni diVini was born from the collaboration between the Pro Loco of Specchia, the Risonanze Eventi d'Arte association—under the artistic direction of Carmine Zocco—and the Puglia Rewind project, with the support of the Municipality of Specchia. An event that enhances the heritage of the Salento village by combining great jazz, popular tradition, and oenological excellence.
For those who love jazz in its many forms—from swing to folk music, from bossa nova to New Orleans dixieland—and wish to discover an authentic Salento village far from mass tourism, Suoni diVini is the ideal opportunity to combine listening, tasting, and an evening stroll in one of the most evocative towns in Apulia.
At the moment, the organizers of Suoni diVini – Jazz & Wine Festival have not released the official program for the 2026 edition. Some tourist guides on summer events in Apulia point to a jazz and tasting appointment in Specchia around July 17-18, 2026, pending confirmation from the Pro Loco and Risonanze Eventi d'Arte.
The formula, consolidated in previous editions, includes evening jazz, swing, and folk music concerts in the courtyards of Palazzo Risolo and in the ancient village, accompanied by tastings of Apulian, French, and Spanish wines and typical Salento products. The detailed program and line-up will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.
