The concert-event of the travelling festival Suoni Controvento on the Valsorda plateau in Gualdo Tadino
Suoni Controvento is a travelling festival of music and performing arts that crosses Umbria every summer with concerts in evocative locations. In Gualdo Tadino, in the province of Perugia, the event has chosen the Valsorda plateau as its preferred venue, a high-altitude plain at the foot of Mount Serra Santa, where nature amplifies every note and creates a unique natural amphitheatre.
As Gualdo Tadino's mayor Massimiliano Presciutti pointed out, "Valsorda has become an iconic location deeply linked to the Suoni Controvento festival". The concert in Valsorda is now a traditional summer event in Gualdo, attracting a large audience who ascend to the meadows to experience live music immersed in the Apennine landscape.
The festival brings prominent names in Italian music to Valsorda. In 2025, it was the turn of PFM (Premiata Forneria Marconi), a legend of Italian progressive rock, while in 2026 it's Fabrizio Moro's turn. The festival is held in collaboration with the Municipality of Gualdo Tadino and is one of the most anticipated cultural events of the summer in upper Umbria.
The 2026 edition of the Suoni Controvento concert in Valsorda, Gualdo Tadino, is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026. The star is Fabrizio Moro, who will perform on the Valsorda plateau with the tour «Non ho paura di niente Live 2026». The setlist includes his greatest hits and songs from his new album, due out in November. The concert takes place in the late afternoon, in the natural setting of the Valsorda meadows, one of the most evocative locations of the Umbrian travelling festival.
The Valsorda plateau can be reached by car from Gualdo Tadino (PG) along the road that climbs towards Mount Serra Santa. Gualdo Tadino is served by the railway station on the Rome–Ancona line. A dedicated shuttle service is often provided for concerts.
