Sunset Concerts at Albereto Castle

A review suspended between the hills of the Rimini area

The Sunset Concerts are one of the most beloved summer offerings in the Rimini hinterland. The setting is the Terrace of Albereto Castle, an ancient medieval manor that overlooks the hills in the hamlet of Albereto, in the municipality of Montescudo-Monte Colombo (Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna). As the sun begins to set and the valley turns pink, the audience takes their seats on the panoramic terrace to listen to author music in an intimate and secluded atmosphere, far from the noise of the coast.

The Rimini Classica touch

The review is conceived and organized by Rimini Classica, a social promotion association founded in 2013 that in just over a decade has held hundreds of concerts in the Rimini area, bringing classical music out of traditional halls and mixing it with pop, rock, jazz, and author music. Its orchestra, composed of local musicians, has accompanied Ludovico Einaudi on European tours and collaborated with artists such as Fabrizio Bosso, Paolo Fresu, Ron, and Antonella Ruggiero. At the Sunset Concerts, this vocation translates into themed evenings: each event is a tribute to a great author or repertoire, reinterpreted by quartets, quintets, and solo voices.

Tributes and reinterpretations

The common thread is the dialogue between genres. In recent editions, the program has ranged from Astor Piazzolla's tango to the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone, from the songs of The Beatles to the songbook of Pino Daniele and Edoardo Bennato, up to a tribute to Bolognese song. Each evening features a project with its own title and a dedicated ensemble, ensuring the program is varied and never repetitive.

The evening experience

• Evening concerts starting at sunset, between 7:45 PM and 8:30 PM.
• Panoramic castle terrace with a view of the Rimini hinterland hills.
• Option for an aperitif or dinner at the Albereto Castle restaurant.
• In case of bad weather, concerts are moved to the Rosaspina Theater in Montescudo.

More than just a concert, the Sunset Concerts are an invitation to experience the Rimini hinterland in a slow and cultural way, combining music with the landscape and good Romagna cuisine.
